Tournament : Australia tour of India, 2020
Date : Sunday, January 19, 2020
Time : 1:30 PM IST 8:00 AM GMT
Venue : M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru
PITCH & CONDITION
Weather : There will be a cloud cover in Bangalore, but no rain is expected, the humidity going up to about 51%. The temperature forecast to be registered during the day is 18 degrees Celsius.
Pitch : The pitch at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium is generally flat and it favours teams batting second, but occasionally assists the spinners as well. The captain winning the toss should should decide to bowl first.
India : India were always expected to bounce back after the defeat in the first ODI as they are too good a team to go down without a fight, that too in their home conditions. Virat Kohli and his men showed good character and determination at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan suffered injuries during the Rajkot game. Rohit Sharma’s fitness is a matter of concern for India as the opener injured his shoulder while fielding during the second ODI and had to be taken out. Rishab Pant missed out the 2nd odi due to concussion but he is ecpected to be fit for 3rd odi.
India Squad: Virat Kohli (c),Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul,Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami.
Australia : Australia might think about replacing Ashton Agar with D’Arcy Short. Australia might also replace Kane Richardson with Josh Hazlewood , who Australia might use with the new ball. Josh Hazlewood has been overlooked for the last couple of games but Richardson was very expensive in the second ODI so Australian team might be tempted to give Hazlewood a go in the decider.
Australia Squad: Aaron Finch (c), D’Arcy Short, Ashton Agar, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins, Peter Handscomb, Josh Hazlewood, Marnus Labuschagne, Kane Richardson, Steven Smith, Mitchell Starc, Ashton Turner, David Warner, Adam Zampa.
India performed very well in the last match, now the series is level with 1-1. Both teams are capable of winning but India know the conditions so well, they might get the better of the Aussies in the end.
